This was my first time working sound design even though I did take cinema last year, but I found it entertaining. Taking a dead clip that has things going on in it, and give it life. I found after doing this project that sound is just as important has good cinematic shots. I started breaking down each movement that someone or something makes and putting a sound effect that I thought would go with it. But then other times like towards the end of the film where they drop the stuff on the wagon I wanted more of an overdramatic banging and that’s what I did. As I was finishing up I thought I would use a tascam and try to put talking into it, but I found it 1 too difficult to line everything up for it to sound clearly and 2 this film is more of a silent film than people talking.

Check back to make sure it has batteries and has SD card. Hold down the turn on bottom until it turns on. Press the record button once and check to make sure the sound bar is going up the the line that shows. Press record again to start recording. To finish your recording you hit the turn off or turn on button. If you want to see your recorded piece, press menu scroll to browse and you will find your clips. Also there you can listen to it back but you need to plug headphones in. To use an external mic plug it in on the left one on the bottom of the tascam.
